Port Qasim's activities

A cargo volume of 61,647 tonnes comprising 47,994 tonnes of import cargo and 13,880 tonnes of export cargo inclusive nil loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 47,994 tonnes includes 43,039 tonnes of furnace oil and 4,955 tonnes of palm oil. The total export cargo of 13,880 tonnes includes 6,679 tonnes of cement; 5,068 tonnes of corn and 1,932 tonnes of wheat.
A container ship namely CV Lantau Arrow sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total number of seven vessels viz CV Lantau Arrow, MV AMS Pegasus-II, MV Sapphire-II, MT Stolt Spain, MV Baltic, MV Unicorn Emerald and MV SFL Kent are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, corn, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
As many as four ships namely Akaki, Euro Asia, Ocean Mercury and Al-Salam-II with furnace oil and diesel oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. A diesel oil tanker viz MT Al-Salam-II is expected to take berth at FOTCO Oil Terminal on Saturday.
