Rehman, Ebad discuss law and order in Karachi

Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday called on Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, at the Governor House here. They discussed the prevailing law and order situation and other matters of importance, says a statement of the Governor House. The Governor Sindh stressed that there should be stern action without any distinction against the elements that are involved in crimes and incidents of terrorism.
He said that a conducive law and order environment is necessary for the efforts that are being made to spur investment as well as industrial and commercial activities. Interior Minister informed that the federal government is paying full attention towards the improvement in the law and order situation and that the concerned organisations are fully active in this regard.
He said that pre-emptive approach on the part of intelligence and other concerned organisations helped in averting the incidents of terrorism and marring of the law and order. Rehman Malik assured that the federal government would continue to assist towards improvement in the law and order situation.
