Upward trend was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Monday in process of moderate activity, dealers said. On the cereal side barley Sindh and Mardan gained Rs 100 to Rs 3600-3650, other commodities maintained weekend levels, they said.
On the grams sector, gram Australian No 1 picked up Rs 200 to Rs 7700-8100, grams Australia dal No 1 gained the same amount to Rs 9200-9600, garms 50x50 followed same pattern, picking up Rs 100 to Rs 8000-8400 and bajra low type was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 3250 while the best type did not move any side at Rs 4500, they said.
On the rice counter Irri-6 Sindh low type appreciated by Rs 50 to Rs 3475, while the good type was unchanged at Rs 3550, they said. On the seed sector cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (old) inferior quality shed Rs 50 to Rs 400 and the best type was unmoved at Rs 500, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh (new) low type firmed at Rs 900 while the superior type inched up with a gain of Rs 10 to Rs 950 in process of trading, dealers said.
