Recently terrorists attacked on Kamra Air Base at Attock and damaged costly aircraft and properties and human lives. It was sad occasion as terrorists tried to damage Pakistani properties and assets.
Last year, on 22.5.2011 terrorists attacked on Naval Air Base Mehran at Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, fighting 10 to 12 hours and they damaged Navy's costly aircraft, properties and human lives. This was a huge loss to our country.
This to inform that some caterers who made arrangements with some officials have been allowed to arrange wedding function in military areas like PAF Bases in Karachi which should not be used for weddings as these areas are very sensitive from security point of view.
In view of the above wedding functions if held at PAF Base can become very dangerous as military area is restricted area never to be used for private persons due to its sensitive nature.
Behind the PAF Base, at Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi thousands of people are residing in the surroundings and everybody feels unsecure due to these wedding functions.
I therefore, appeal to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and all types of functions in military areas should be banned keeping in view the safety of life of people and security of the area.
