Police claimed that they had arrested 28 suspects said to be involved in various crimes during the past 24 hours in separate raids in the city on Thursday. According to police, two gangsters and two policemen were killed during an operation against criminal elements. Police said that they had also seized 10 pistols and a small machine-gun from the possession of arrested men.
