Dipika Kakar, who is known as Simar from the famous television drama ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, recently tied the knot with her long time boyfriend and co-actor Shoaib Ibrahim in a Muslin wedding ceremony after converting to Islam.
As a secular state, India is a country with multi-religion communities living under one roof and every year the country sees a lot of inter-faith marriages where none of the pair convert religiously. However, Bollywood actress Dipika decided on embracing her husband-to-be Shoaib’s religion to step into an eternal love affair.
The couple had an Islamic wedding ceremony with a Mehendi event, followed by a Nikkah ceremony and a small reception event that took place at Shoaib’s childhood house. Although not officially but Dipika sure did change her name to Faiza before getting married as per the printed cards of the wedding.
