Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday presided a meeting of elected representatives of Karachi Division at CM House. The meeting was attended by Nabeel Gabol MNA, Abdul Qadir Patel MNA, Sher Muhammad Baloch MNA, Rafiq Engineer, Sharjeel Inam Memon, Akhtar Jadoon, Haji Muzaffar Shajra, Nadeem Bhutto, Sajid Jokhio, Mrs. Shahla Raza, Mrs. Shama Arif Mithiani, Nargis N.D. Khan, Najma Saeed Chawla, Saleem Hingoro, Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, Rashid Rabbani and others.
The meeting discussed in detail the political situation prevailing in the province, the pace of development schemes and inter-party relations and enhancing the co-ordination. The meeting also discussed immediately initiating co-ordination with the leaders of the coalition partners of the present government with regard to removing reservations and differences on the Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance-2012.
The meeting in a resolution fully supported the Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance-2012 and termed it in the larger interests of the people of Sindh and fully hoped that due to the new local government law, the genuine problems of the common man would be solved at the grass root level.
The meeting in its resolution lauded the efforts of the President of Pakistan and the co-chairman of the PPP Asif Ali Zardari and the positive thinking, political vision, strategy and policies of permanent unity and cohesion of the people of Pakistan. The meeting fully endorsed its full confidence in the leadership of President of Pakistan and co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari and Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Chief Minister and President PPP Sindh.-PR
