A crisis-like situation still persists in Sindh as four provincial ministers, two advisors and two special assistants to the Chief Minister from PML-F, NPP AND PML-Q have submitted their resignations at the Chief Minister House through their private secretaries.
Strictly opposing the promulgation of the Peoples Local Government Ordinance 2012, the PML-F and the NPP, allies of the Sindh government had announced their separation from the PPP led-provincial government. While, only one minister from the PML-Q Shehryar Mehar had also announced his resignation, along with the leaders of the PML-F and NPP during a joint press conference. But, Haleem Adil Shaikh, Secretary General PML-Q Sindh chapter had termed Shehryar's resignation as his personal decision.
On Saturday, the private secretaries of the PML-F's ministers Jam Madad Ali (Science and Technology), Rafiq Banbhan (Auqaf), Advisors to the Chief Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh (Special Education), Nasir Khan Nizamani (Mineral and Mines), Special Assistants to Chief Minister Noor Hussein Khaskheli and Khadim Ali Aradeen, NPP's minister Abid Khan Jatoi (Livestock) and PML-Q's only minister Shehryar Ali Khan Mehar (Alternative Energy), have submitted the resignations of their bosses at the office of the Secretary to the Chief Minister Sindh.
It may be noted here that the Awami National Party's only minister in Sindh for Labour Amir Nawab had submitted his resignation at the Chief Minister House on Friday. Soon after the submission of resignations, a high level meting was held at the residence of Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh Secretary General PML-F Sindh chapter, attended by Jam Madad Ali, Rafiq Banbhan, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, Nasir Khan Nizamani, Noor Hussein Khaskheli, Khadim Ali Aradeen and others. Sources privy to the meeting told Business Recorder that all participants had discussed the issues pertaining to the promulgation of the people's local government Ordinance 2012 in detail.
