PSM chief executive orders probe into lift collapse incident

Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Steel Mill Major General Mohammad Javed HI-M (Retd) expressed grief over the incident of lift collapse in Steel Making Department of Pakistan Steel. He ordered an inquiry about the incident and also directed to provide treatment with special care for the affected employees.
CEO constituted a high level committee with instructions to present the detail report of the incident on priority basis. According to initial reports the incident happened during the process of repair work of a cargo lift in Steel Making Department, from 8 metres height the lift suddenly fell down.
This was a "Cargo lift" used for transportation of different items. PSM workers who were working on the top of the lift sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The injured were immediately shifted to Pakistan Steel Hospital where they have been provided all medical treatment. One of the workers identified Naved Akhter was shifted to Liaquat National Hospital for treatment.-PR
