10 Sep, 2012

A number of names are being tossed around and proposed for the slot of the interim prime minister to head the caretaker government to run the government for its mandated tenure and to organise the next general election.
The tenure of the interim government will be most crucial to ensures that the next elections under its supervision are held free, fair, peacefully, transparently and the transition takes place smoothly. So also, during the tenure of the interim government, affairs of the government have to be run efficiently, effectively under the rule of law and constitution, the most critical and important areas being the economy, governance, writ of the State, terrorism, sectarian violence, targeted killings and check on the rampant corruption. The nation needs an astute, capable, experienced technocrat of outstanding credentials and attributes to fill - in the job of the interim prime minister.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), has recommended the name of a well known businessman, Razzak Dawood as a potential candidate for the job of the interim prime minister. Dawood is regarded as an honest, incorruptible individual with hands-on management experience and as such, deserves serious consideration in addition to other suitable, untainted, outstanding professionals and individuals of impeccable credentials such as Dr Hafeez Pasha, Dr Mohammad Yaqoob, Dr Shamshad Akhtar, Shahid Kardar, Mian Mohammad Mansha and Shaukat Tarin etc. There is no dearth of good men and women in Pakistan like the corrupt, crooked and untrustworthy politicians and their cronies, found at every nook and corner of the country.
