PPP, MQM discuss post SPLGO 2012 situation

The core committee of the Pakistan People's Party and the Muttahida Quami Movement, met here on Monday at Chief Minister House to discuss the situation created after the announcement of Sindh People's Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO) 2012.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad, while attended by the PPP's Agha Siraj Durrani, Ayaz Soomro, Rafique Engineer, Rashid Rabbani, the MQM's Dr Farooq Sattar, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Raza Haroon, and Kanwar Naveed Jamil.
Although, the SPLGO 2012 has promulgated by Sindh Governor on the recommendation of the core committee, however, there are several issues are still need to resolve, sources said. They said that now, reportedly, there is some difference between two collation partners on appointment of administrators and chief officers at town level. Adding, "both allies in the central and provincial governments are trying to appoint their administrators and chief officers in the city".
On Monday, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan visited CM House to participate dialogue, began at 3 pm. Sources said that both parties have also discussed situation created after the announcement of SPGLO 2012. They also discussed the announcement of strike by the nationalists and other parties. Till the filing of this report the meeting was continued at CM House.
