At least 11 bodies were retrieved on Monday while nearly seven fishermen are still missing from a small boat, which capsized near Karachi coast on Sunday night, fisheries officials said. "Pakistan Navy and Maritime Security Agency (MSA) are jointly carrying out search operation in the coastal area of Ibrahim Haideri to recover at least seven missing fishermen whose boat overturned on Sunday," officials told Business Recorder.
A small fishing boat "Hora" with 38 fishermen on board sank on Sunday night near coast of Ibrahim Haideri after it lost balance. At least 15 crewmembers were immediately rescued by the close voyaging fishermen, they said. They said the Sindh fisheries department immediately called Navy and MSA for help, which responded quickly to undertake search efforts. "Efforts are underway to retrieve the bodies of the missing fishermen," they said, adding that all the crew belonged to Ibrahim Haideri.
