Leaders of Jamaat-i-Islami from Bajuar Agency sought the special relief package for tribal people affected by cross border shelling near Salarazai area of Bajuar agency, demanding for making arrangements for shifting of the families dislocated during the fighting.
Addressing a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club on Monday, JI Ameer from Bajuar Agency, and former MNA Haroon ul Rashid said that more than 60,000 people had been affected by cross border shelling and bombardment between border security forces with militants' insurgents.
Flanked by JI Ameer Maulana Waheed Gul, and Dr Munsif Khan and others, he said the Fata has turned to battle field for the last several years, in which more than 40,000 innocent people had been killed, while around 50,000 were left injured. He further added the education and health facilities have been badly affected in the tribal areas. He said the tribal people are physical and mentally distribute in the prevailing situation. Haroon ul Rashid demanded of the government to immediate make arrangements for shifting of the affected families to their hometown after the announcement by political administration that the area has been cleared.
