LAHORE: The Founders Group of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry has started its campaign for the LCCI elections through a grand meeting.

For the first time in history, officials and representatives of more than 100 markets of the city and a large number of industrialists and traders attended the meeting and expressed solidarity with the Founders Group.

Founders Group Chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik presided over the meeting while senior group leader Mian Muhammad Ashraf delivered the welcome speech. Former LCCI Presidents Tariq Hameed, Bashir A. Baksh, Sheikh Muhammad Asif, Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, Shahid Hassan Sheikh, Shehzad Ali Malik, Farooq Iftikhar, Abdul Basit, Almas Hyder, Mian Tariq Misbah, LCCI Senior Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz Chan, Vice President Haris Ateeq and members of Founders Group were also present on the occasion.

Senior leader of Founders Group and renowned industrialist Mian Muhammad Ashraf, while shedding light on the economic and political scenario in the country and role of Founders Group in economy, said that the leaders of Founders Group have served the country by holding many high-level government positions. They have rendered excellent services for economic development of the country.

Iftikhar Ali Malik said that Founders Group has always given representation to the talented people. This year the candidates with best abilities are being selected who will use their best skills to serve for the cause of business community. He also gave a detailed briefing to the participants about the criteria of selection and election process.

The mega event was managed and hosted by the LCCI Senior Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz Chan and Vice President Haris Ateeq that was highly appreciated by the leaders of Founders Group and the participants. It would be worth mentioning here that after many years, the meeting has seen such a large participation of the business community.

Mian Muhammad Ashraf further said that the business community has already announced their support as their manifesto stands for services to LCCI members, who want their businesses grow.
