10 'Pashtun' labourers gunned down in Mastung

At least ten labourers were gunned down and four other wounded in a firing incident which took place in Dusht area of Mastung District on Thursday. Police sources said the labourers were engaged in the construction work of a road at Kili Umer area on Quetta-Sibi National Highway when the armed men opened indiscriminate fire on them, killing 10 on the spot and leaving four others critically injured.
The assailant, after committing the crime, managed to escape the scene. Soon after the incident, the local administration along with the Levis Force reached the site and shifted the dead bodies and injured to Civil Hospital Quetta. Referring preliminary investigation, the Levis official said that the "majority of those killed and wounded were Pashtun". No group has so far claimed the attack. The entire area has been cordoned off to track the suspects down.
