Tragic fire incidents: Nawaz holds government officials, factory owners responsible

Terming the terrible fire incidents in Karachi and Lahore as 'big tragedies,' Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that laws exist in the country but not being implemented which resulted in such type of fire incidents.
Talking to media after visiting the burnt factory located on Band Road here on Thursday, Nawaz said he would be visiting Karachi on Friday to condole with the deceased families who lost their near and dear ones in terrible fire incident in Karachi. Nawaz maintained that society as well as administration was indulged in corruption due to which laws were not being implemented in letter and spirit.
He held the provincial governments, officers concerned and owners of the factories responsible for tragic fire incidents in Lahore and Karachi. "Why detailed inspection is not carried out of factories and plazas before their construction?" he questioned. The PML-N President also said that factories using any type of chemical be shifted out of the municipal limits, adding that provincial governments must ensure implementation of Factory Act to avoid happening of fire incidents in future.
