Ms Beenish Saba, Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Sciences, PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi has been declared as a young scientist best oral presenter in international conference on "Challenges in Environmental Engineering and Sciences" held in Melbourne, Australia from September 9 to 13.
This year, it was the fifth conference and Ms Saba is the only Pakistani who won this award for the first time. The conference is one of the biggest event held in Australia addressing challenges faced by environment and climate change where more than 80 countries of the world participated.
Beenish, a young and highly talented faculty member in the department of Environmental Sciences of Arid University presented her research findings on "Textile waste water treatment in suspended and attach growth sequencing batch bioreactor using different carbon sources".
She has already written three books and 10 international papers and participated in number of national and international conferences. This success is because of prayers of my parents, sincere and dedicated effort of my students and ever encouraging guidance and help from Professor Tariq Mahmood, my head of the department, said Beenish on telephone from Melbourne. She also thanked HEC for sporting her partially for participating in the conference.
