Punjab government has paid Rs 4.5 million to the heirs of nine persons who died due to floods / rains in Dera Ghazi Khan District. Two of the four persons who were drowned in the flood water IN Rajanpur district have also been identified. This was stated by Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Mujahid Sherdil while visiting flood hit areas on Thursday.
He said 100 trucks carrying relief goods have reached their destinations whereas more trucks will reach today. He said 3,000 tents, 10,000 blankets, 15,000 mineral water bottles, 4,000 rice bags and 20,000 bags of flour of 20kg each have been distributed among flood hit people whereas further relief items will be distributed soon.
