Three cars gutted in Islamabad fire

Huge fire erupted in private mobile phone company building on Friday in Blue Area, the busiest commercial center of the Federal Capital within the limits of Kohsar Police Station. The fire was erupted in back side of the building at about 4:00pm. As the fire erupted all the people inside the three-storey building were rescued immediately, eyewitness said and added that fire broke out when an employee of the company filling the generator with diesel.
They said that at least three cars were gutted in the fire incident; however, luckily all the persons remained unhurt, as the fire brigade officials reached the site swiftly and extinguished the fire. According to Rescue 1122‚ the fire was extinguished immediately and there was no major loss except damage of a few vehicles. Interior Minister Rehman Malik, while taking notice of the fire incident, has sought preliminary report from the District Magistrate Islamabad.
According to the Capital Development Authority (CDA)'s spokesman Emergency and Disasters Management of the authority extinguished fire within 20 minutes after hectic effort. On the directive of Chairman CDA, Engineer Farkhand Iqbal, Member Administration, Syed Mustafain Kazmi supervised the operation. A team of Emergency and Disasters Management rushed to the point of incident.
Member Administration, Syed Mustafain Kazmi said that Emergency and Disasters Management of the Authority is equipped with the latest machinery and rescue equipment and have the ability to operate swiftly in case of any untoward incident. He further said that team of the Emergency and Disasters Management responded the call within six minutes and controlled the fire.
