Shopkeepers, employees camped outside Centaurus Mall

ISLAMABAD: Unemployed shopkeepers and their employees have camped outside Centaurus Mall. They said that due to the closure of Centaurus Mall, hundreds of people have become unemployed and the employees have been forced to starve.

A large number of business leaders have stated that a camp will be held for them soon Meals twice a day will be provided to the employees by Anjuman Tajaran.

The leaders are include: President of All Pakistan Anjuman Tajran and Traders Action Committee Islamabad Ajmal Baloch, Secretary and Convenor Traders Committee ICCI Khalid Chaudhry, President of Supermarket Shahzad Shabbir Abbasi, President of Blue Area Raja Hassan Akhtar. Raja Imad Bin Arif, President of Blue Area East, Ahmed Khan, President of F-10 Markaz, Chaudhary Aftab Gujjar, President of G-11 Centre, Abid Abbasi President G-10 Markaz, Raj Abbasi, Shahid Abbasi. Akhtar Abbasi, General Secretary of Aabpara, Irfan Chaudhry, Syed Altaf Hussain Shah, Nasir Chaudhry, Chaudhry Abdul Ghaffar, Azhar Iqbal, Raja Zahid Dhaniyal, Chaudhry Raasat Ali and Raja Khurram Niaz.

They said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah should take notice of the cruel actions taken by the Deputy Commissioner, who have sealed Centaurus Mall, considering Islamabad as Toba Tek Singh. They are paving the way for permanent closure by sending them.

They have further said that foreign investment is involved in Centaurus Shopping Mall, such cruel measures will reduce foreign investment in the country. Thay further said that if the shopping mall is not de-sealed immediately, they will soon call a meeting of the Trading Action Committee and decide on a shutter-down protest.

Unemployed shopkeepers and their employees have camped outside Centaurus Mall and when they are given a call, they will sit outside the Prime Minister’s House along with the market representatives.
