LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab on Monday retrieved state land worth over Rs30 million in Sargodha region.
According to sources, ACE Regional Director Asma Ijaz received a complaint on ‘Report Corruption App’ that some alleged land grabbers were selling state land of irrigation department in Moza Chaklala, Tehsil Shahpur, Jinnah Colony.
During the course of inquiry, it was revealed that some alleged land grabbers had illegally occupied the irrigation state land measuring 6 kanal and 5 marla and established an illegal structure on it besides cultivating the occupied land.
Meanwhile, an ACE assistant director with the help of police and district administration initiated an operation against the land grabbers and vacated the state land.
