Anti-Islam film: Religious parties hold demonstration in Lahore

Supporters of religious parties, including Jamaatud Dawa and Jamaat-i-Islami, Jameet Ulma Islam, Jameet Al-Hadees held protest rally here on Sunday at Mall Road near Misjid Shohida against a sacrilegious film. Hundreds of Jamaatud Dawa activists led by the organisation's chief Hafiz Saeed staged a demonstration on the Mall Road.
The protesters shouted slogans against the US and demanded stern punishment for the people behind the anti-Islam film.
Hafiz Saeed urged the government to summon the US ambassador to lodge protest over the film. He also invited Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan to join the religious parties and other religious groups.
They warned that the situation would deteriorate if the government did not expel the US ambassador to Pakistan from the country. They called for closure of the US embassy and the expulsion of the US ambassador from Pakistan.
