The legal fraternity on Monday observed strike on the call of Pakistan Bar Council and held protest rallies to condemn the anti-Islam film. Lahore High Court Bar Association and Lahore Bar Association also held general house meetings before taking out rallies. The meetings passed resolutions demanding of the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) to register protest at an international level.
The bars also demanded of the government to expel Americans from the country and stop Nato supply routes. Addressing the meeting, LHCBA President Shehram Sarwar said that Zionists' lobby was involved in the anti-Islam film conspiracy. He regretted that rulers of the Islamic countries did not take any forceful action against the perpetrators and remained silent.
