Students activist belonging to various organisations on Monday held a protest demonstration against the anti-Islam film on main Sher Suri Road, demanding for immediate expel US envoy and sever diplomatic and trade ties with it. The students' activists of Afridi Students Union led by its chairman Tariq Afiridi, were holding placards and banners inscribed anti-American and Israel slogans. They raised full-throated slogans against the film mocking the Islam.
Talking to reporters, the ASU chairman Tariq Afridi condemned the sacrilegious film and said that it was not a first time to defame the Islam, and hurt sentiments of Muslims around the world. "Whatever done, had not belonged to any religion, are infidels", he angered.
He said that the US led forces were facing crushing defeat in Afghanistan and in a state of extreme confusion taking such steps to infuriate the Muslims. They said that in the prevailing situation all the Muslim countries should join hands to give a tit for tat answer to those hatching conspiracies. The protesters said the Jewish lobby wanted to impose the western agenda on Muslim world and change mind set of Ummah by such tactical attempt.
Meanwhile, Abbas Khalil and Asif Yousaf spearheaded activists of minority wing of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) led by provincial general secretary Intikhab Khan Chamkani, Zakaullah and Saleem Shah also staged a protest demonstrations, and condemned the making of sacrilegious movie, demanding to expel US ambassador and snap diplomatic and trade ties with it.
