JTI to hold seminar on prevailing situation

19 Sep, 2012

Jamiat-e-Talba Islam (JTI) on Tuesday announced a mass awareness seminar on the current situation, on September 20 (Thursday). Addressing a news conference here at the Peshawar Press Club, the provincial president JTI Hafiz Arshad Khan said that they are going to organise a "Sheikh ul Hind" seminar in Nishtar Hall, Peshawar.
He said that the basic objective was to create awareness among the masses about the internal and external challenges and the prevailing situation of the country. "We need to show unity in this difficult juncture to foil the nefarious designs of anti-Islamic and state forces", he stressed. Owing to foreign intervention in this region, he said that the country is facing enormous external challenges, adding that military operations were being carried on at the directions of others.
He said that the country's sovereignty and integrity was being undermined by the drone attacks inside the tribal areas. "An organised conspiracy was being hatched to deprive the young generation of education by razing down religious seminaries and educational institutions", he maintained. Hafiz Arshad said that anti-Islamic forces were attempting acts of blasphemy with the intervention of western powers in this region. He also criticised the role of the Muslim World for not taking a staunch stance over the sacrilegious acts.
