Motorola Mobility unveiled Tuesday its new Intel-powered RAZR i mobile phone, which it hopes will compete against Apple's iPhone 5 and Samsung's Galaxy S III in the competitive smartphone market. Motorola, which was purchased by Internet giant Google for $12.5 billion last year, announced its latest smartphone at a press conference in central London.
The RAZR i, which is the first Motorola phone to feature an Intel processor, can achieve speeds of 2.0 gigahertz, according to the group. The new Motorola smartphone, which has a 4.3-inch edge-to-edge touchscreen and uses Google's Android software, will go on sale in Europe and Latin America in October.
