Anti-US demonstration staged in Multan; one martyred

An emotional faithful Anwar Burki died of heart attack while addressing a demonstration to denounce the sacrilegious film in Muzaffargarh. Participants called him "martyr of sacred mission." Hundreds of students, traders, citizens on Tuesday staged a number of demonstrations at different places in Multan city.
More than 150 members of Pakistan Chemists Council staged a demonstration at Chowk Ghanta Ghar and burnt the US flag. The demo was led by Sheikh Naeem Akhtar, Akhtar Butt and Muhammad Hussain. They observed a sit-in on the road too. More than 200 students of local colleges organised a rally which began from Chungi No 9 and terminated at Multan Press club after passing through LMQ, Chungi No 8, Chungi 7, Chowk Kutchery, Kalima Chowk and Nawan Shehr.
The rally was led by Hamza Khan, Mirza Adeel and Shah-Rukh Khan. They chanted slogans against the United States and Israel. More than 100 activists of Mustafvi Medical Students Movement staged a demonstration under the leadership of Dr Farooq Malik, Dr Mazhar-ul-Hassan, Rao Abdul Khaliq and Sadiq Hussain. They burnt the US flag and effigy of producer/director of the sacrilegious movie. Traders of Mumtazabad staged a demonstration to express their anger of the blasphemous movie. Similarly traders of Gulgasht Colony, Old-Shujabad Road also staged demonstrations.
