Pakistan Refinery posts Rs 1615.717 million loss after tax

Pakistan Refinery Limited has posted Rs 1615.717 million as after tax loss in the year ended June 30, 2012 (FY12) as compared to after tax profit of Rs 223.956 million recorded in the corresponding period in FY11. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Tuesday declared that the company's per share loss stood at Rs 46.16 in the period under review against per share earning of Rs 6.4 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 127.174 billion in FY12 against Rs 96.45 billion in FY11, while the cost of sales increased to Rs 126.289 billion against Rs 94.032 billion. PRL posted Rs 896.509 million as loss before taxation in FY12 against profit before taxation of Rs 734.122 million posted in FY11.
