MPA visits ailing poet

MPA Imdad Ali Pitafi visited ailing renowned Poet of Sindh Murtaza Shah Dadahi on Tuesday at his home at Tando Allahyar and presented Rs 50,000 for his treatment from his own pocket. Talking to media, Pitafi said that it was the prime duty of cultural oriented organisations to help the legend Poet in difficult time.
He said that to save Legend of Sindh is to save culture of Sindh and stressed upon the Provincial Culture Department either to give special treatment package or, medical treatment be made on government expensive at modern Karachi hospital. He said that Murtaza Shah Dadahi is a great poet of Sindh who has made the cultural history as richer. He said that irony is that many parties who became richer by utilising the poetry of Murtaza Shah Dadahi but today they are far away from him in this difficult time. He said that Dadahi was not in a position to afford his costly medical treatment as alone as such well to do individuals and organisations should help him without further delay.
