KARACHI: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with First Women Bank Ltd. (FWBL) organized a ‘Training’ on “How to Finance Your Business” here at a local hotel on Thursday.
Over a 100 women entrepreneurs from different sectors participated. The first in the series of trainings was organised for expanding the women entrepreneurship across Pakistan in wake of easing the methods of financing their businesses at the grass root level.
The event was clubbed with the soft launch gala ceremony of Women Entrepreneur (WE) website that exclusively covers the newly developed TDAP’s “Women Capacity Development Framework”.
This event was attended by women entrepreneurs as well as dignitaries including celebrities, diplomats, socialites, influencers and businessmen etc.
In his opening remarks, Ahsan Ali Mangi, Secretary TDAP, explained the background and objectives of this newly developed WE website urging the audience to focus on the utilization of digital platforms for expanding their businesses & trade.
He also encouraged the women entrepreneurs to get them registered with TDAP for future facilitation and business networking, marketing.
The guests showed their keen interests in useful features included in the WE website, and appreciated TDAPs efforts for helping them dealing in their day-to-day business practices.
They further appreciated the fact that these newly developed initiatives by TDAP will help them in growing & expanding in future.
In his closing remarks, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala, Chief Executive, TDAP, emphasized on the needs of adopting latest trends & tools for becoming a success story. He also gave examples of brands which became pioneer in their respective fields and expressed his hope that our women entrepreneur will also follow the footsteps of such successful businesses and entrepreneurs.
In the end, special accreditation awards were given by CE TDAP, to successful women entrepreneurs in the fields of Fashion, PR & media, academia, health & beauty care, medicine, finance, handicrafts, Denim garments etc.
