Hoti inaugurates Bacha Khan University

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti has said that poverty, terrorism and illiteracy could be eliminated only through the promotion of education. He said that the government had realised the dream of Bacha Khan by establishing schools, colleges and universities in every nook and corner of the province.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Bacha Khan University at Palosa, Charsadda, on Thursday. Central President ANP Asfandyar Wali Khan inaugurated the university. Begum Nasim Wali Khan was also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that the establishment of seven universities in short span of four and half year was an unprecedented achievement.
He said that the university had been established on area of 200 kanal, which would be expanded to 800 kanal with the passage of time. Hoti further said that the number of colleges in the province had reached 270, out of which 18 were under construction. He said that educational development was not limited to a particular district and sincere efforts had been undertaken for the promotion of education throughout the province.
