LAHORE: A delegation of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) and traders called on Provincial Minister of Industry, Commerce and Energy SM Tanveer in the committee room of the Energy Department.
The traders demanded to increase the working hours of the markets. Speaking to the delegation, Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce and Energy SM Tanveer said that awareness programmes should be conducted regarding energy saving, APTMA and traders should give recommendations and suggestions regarding energy saving, and the compiled suggestions and recommendations would be kept before the cabinet.
He said that the government’s job is not to do business but to facilitate the promotion of business activities, the problems of industrialists and traders are being solved on priority basis.
Energy Secretary Dr Naeem Rauf, Additional Secretary Admin and related officers were present in the meeting. While the delegation included Vice Chairman APTPMA Punjab Asad Shafi, General Secretary APTPMA Raza Baqir and others were also present.
