University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) will get International Certification of its faculty members thereby to earn international recognition of their professional domains and make them a proud member of the highly qualified pool of the world.
The assertion was given by Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan (SI), Vice Chancellor UAF while addressing the professors and assistant professors of the university here at old Senate Hall on Wednesday. Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said there is a dire need to get registration of such a prestigious club of the world to grab the benefits of the global job market for faculty and students.
He urged the young faculty to capitalise the enormous opportunities by marketing their novel research ideas to Bill Gates Foundation, European Union, Qatar Foundation, Pak US Science & Technology and other funding agencies adding that besides enriching their professional capabilities, they can earn more money for the University as well.
Dr Iqrar said owing to constant encouragement and making vigorous efforts, in a period of four years, the worth of research project has been raised from 200 million to nearly 1,800 million rupees adding that the faculty has the potential to win more projects competitively. He emphasised the young faculty to divert their focus to marketing and social sciences as a huge money is available to work in the sector.
