Mohammad Atif Dada and Waqas Anwar were elected unopposed as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Karachi Cotton Association for the year 2012. They would take the charge of their offices w.e.f. October 1. Final results of the election of the Executive Committee and office bearers of the KCA were announced at the annual general meeting held on September 25 at the KCA office.
Muhammad Atif Dada of Dada Sons (Pvt) Limited has been engaged in cotton business. He is a prominent and well-renowned exporter of raw cotton in Pakistan. He had been elected as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the KCA for the year 2010-11, 2008-09 and 2005-06 & 2007-08 respectively. He had also served as KCA Director too. Waqas Anwar of Amir Umar Industries (Pvt) Limited, a prominent member of the KCA, has been engaged in cotton ginning business. He had been elected as KCA Director for many years in the past.-PR
