Activities of Karachi Port and Port Qasim

KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 45,013 tonnes of cargo comprising 26,461 tonnes of import cargo and 18,552 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.

The total import cargo of 26,461 comprised of 12,443 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 1,792 tonnes of Chick Peas, 900 tonnes of Rock Phosphate & 11,326 tonnes of Oil & Liquid Cargo.

The total export cargo of 18,552 tonnes comprised of 3,654 tonnes of containerized Cargo, 20 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 1,054 tonnes of Cement & 13,824 tonnes of Clinkers.

Nearly, 126 containers comprising of 00 containers import and 126 containers export were handled on Wednesday.

Only one ship namely, Ping An Song has berthed at Karachi Port.

Approximately, 05 ships namely Josef, Gulf Barakah, Uafl Dubai, Copenhagen Eagle and MT Quetta have sailed at Karachi Port.

PORT QASIM

A total of 07 ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a Containers vessel Northern Magnitude left the Port on Wednesday (today) morning and three more ships, Octa Lune, Calypso Gas and Eastern Nymohaea are expected to sail at afternoon on (today) 19th April, 2023.

A cargo volume of 141,636tones, comprising 104,835 tones imports Cargo and 36,801 tones export cargo, including containerized cargo carried in 4,531 Containers (2,783 TEUs Imports and 1,748 TEUs export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

There are 07 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Lisa, Em Astoria, Raffles Glory and Milaha Qatar & Gas carrier, Al-Maha carrying Containers, Gasoline, LNG and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, FOTCO, EETL and SSGC respectively on Wednesday, 19th April-2023.
