Taiwan stocks ended up 0.18 percent on Thursday, lifted by biotech shares and chipmakers, which rose 1.64 percent and 0.94 percent, respectively. The main TAIEX index was up 14.17 points to 7,683.80, after opening flat. Electronics shares gained 0.27 percent, although HTC shed 3.32 percent. Banking stocks edged up 0.1 percent. The Taiwan dollar was up T$0.115 to trade at T$29.382.
