Deputy Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent Malir Prison have been killed in a firing incident near Nipa Chowrangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Saturday. According to police, Deputy Superintendent Malir Prison Abdur Razzak Abbasi, 42, along with Assistant Superintendent Central Juvenile Jail Pir Masood, 45, were going to attend wedding ceremony of Deputy Superintendent Central Jail Kamal Shah's daughter at Nipa Choranagi.
When their car reached the venue, four armed men riding two motorbikes came and opened fire at their car no AKV-718, (Cultus silver colour) and fled from the scene. As a result of firing, they received multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Jinnah Hospital. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained till the filing of the story.
