Institutions can't resolve Balochistan issue: Shujaat

01 Oct, 2012

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that none of the institutions including government, armed forces and judiciary can resolve the issue of Balochistan. Speaking to media persons at Karachi Airport on Sunday, he said that the responsibility to maintain peace in the province lay on every individual and the parties should abstain from point-scoring.
He said that steps should be taken to remove the sense of deprivation of the people of Balochistan. Shujaat said it was a duty of all of us to make all out efforts to establish peace in the province. He further said that had the recommendations of the Mushahid Committee been implemented, the issue would have been settled long ago.
Meanwhile, speaking to media, Mushahid Hussain said that there was no requirement of rocket science to resolve the issues of the province. He said that all the representatives of Balochistan were included in the committee formed earlier to address the issues of the province.
