HYDERABAD: A ceremony was held at SAFCO Head Office to acknowledge and celebrate the election of SAFCO Managing Director Syed Sajjad Ali Shah as a member and director of the governing board of 'Pakistan Microfinance Network- PMN', PMN is a national body and network of all national financial service providers in Pakistan.
Speaking at the event, SAFCO founder Suleman G. Abro congratulated Syed Sajjad Ali Shah and said that the representation of the people of Sindh in the world's recognized best organization is a sign of SAFCO's outstanding success and recognition of SAFCO's services.
Now we will be able to incorporate our suggestions into policies and decisions about financial services not only in Sindh but across the country so that the lower-class people can easily solve their financial problems and change their lives.
He said, "Similarly, we will give proposals to the federal and provincial governments to give tax exemption for four to five years to new business start-ups, emergency funds to financial institutions to pay installments of loans of people facing calamities." should be provided.
He said that we will also give suggestions to the governments those institutions like SAFCO should be provided with facilities to collect people's money, to insure small businesses and livestock.
Speaking at the event, Syed Sajjad Ali Shah said that the entire microfinance industry of the country has put their trust in SAFCO to elect me as a member of the governing board for three years in the general body of PMN and to represent me in the policy committee.
He said that I am grateful to SAFCO founder Suleman G. Abro, SAFCO board and staff and especially the entire microfinance industry.
