KARACHI: Qaisar Shams Ghucha, Chairman, Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association (PYMA), has emphasized the importance of political stability for economic growth.
He stated that Pakistan should take measures to control fluctuations in the value of the dollar, and both exporters and industries should be granted subsidies in energy.
Ghucha made these remarks during his visit to the central secretariat in Karachi, where he attended a meeting of the PYMA executive committee to discuss various significant issues faced by its members.
Sohail Nisar, Sr Vice Chairman, Javed Khanani, Vice Chairman PYMA, M Usman, Khurshid A Shaikh, Saqib Goodluck, Salim Adaya, Junaid Teli, Khurrum Bharara, Mumtaz ul Haq, Ashraf A Sattar and Waheed also attended the meeting.
The PYMA chairman urged the need for government departments to take responsibility for implementing policy measures and initiatives for the general public, while also highlighting the need for improvement in their performance.
“Ghucha suggested that the government should facilitate the provision of solar panels under favourable conditions to meet the country’s power demands, thereby stabilizing the agriculture sector.”
