Lahore Qalanadars have restricted Islamabad United to 121 in the 12th game of Pakistan Super League (PSL) being played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
After winning the toss, Qalanadars invited Islamabad to bat. The decision turned out to be in favour of Lahore as they managed to restrict former PSL champions to 121/9 in 20 overs.
Jean Paul Duminy and Hussain Talat were the only batsmen to show some resistance against Lahore’s bowling attack. Duminy made 34 while Talat scored unbeaten 33.
Andre Russell was looking dangerous but was run out by Yasir Shah, who also bowled an economical spell and picked up three wickets.
Debutant Salman Irshad got the big fish in shape of Misbah ul Haq on his first delivery of the tournament. Fakhar Zaman was once again introduced as surprise package by Qalandars’ skipper Brandon McCullum. He bowled two over and picked up a key wicket of Ronchi and just gave 10 runs.
Sunil Narine was once again superb with the ball but failed to pick any wicket.
