LAHORE: Caretaker Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister S M Tanveer said that a business support cell has also been established in the Chief Minister office to facilitate the industrialists; a favourable environment has been provided for the promotion of industrial and commercial activities in the province.
He disclosed this during a meeting with a delegation of industrialists and businessmen here on Thursday; on this occasion, they discussed the problems faced by industry and government measures to resolve them. Lahore Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries President Chaudhry Amjad, Nauman Kabir and others were included in the delegation.
The Minister told the delegation that the problems of industrialists were being solved on a priority basis through the platform of the Punjab Chambers of Commerce Coordination Committee.
“Economic empowerment was necessary to achieve economic goals. The government was following an effective strategy for economic stability and wanted to bring a policy that would industrialise the province.”
