Four gunned down in various parts of Karachi

At least four people were gunned down in different parts of the city here on Thursday. In the first incident, bullet-riddled body of a prominent singer was found in his car parked in Nashter Road area within the precincts of Garden police station.
Police said locals of the area informed police that a body of a man was lying in a car, APH-153, at Nashter Road near Bagh-e-Hilar Hall. Upon this, a police party reached the scene and took the body to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for autopsy where the victim was identified as Qamar Allah Ditta, 43. The deceased was trustee of an Imambargsh in Nippiar area.
A policeman was gunned down in Frontier colony within the jurisdiction of Mominabad police station. Police said that the victim, Asim Sohail, 40, son of Rafiq, was shot dead when he was returning home after performing his duty at SITE A police station. His body was brought to CHK for post-mortem. A man was killed in Sultanabad area within the limits of Mangopir police station.
A police official said that two armed riders opened indiscriminate fire on a motorist. Resultantly, the motorist received fatal bullet wounds and died at the spot. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities, where the victim was identified as Niaz Mehsud, 27, son of Bazak Khan. A man was gunned down in Nazimabad No 2 in the limits of Nazimabad police station. Police said that two armed pillion riders opened fire on him. Resultantly, he received fatal bullet wounds and died on the spot. The body was shifted to ASH for autopsy. He was identified as Qadeer Hussain, 50.
