PIDA officials directed to implement anti-dengue instructions

Punjab Secretary Irrigation and Managing Director Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (PIDA) Khalid Masood Chaudhry directed the PIDA and Irrigation department officials to continue implementing Punjab government instructions regarding anti-dengue efforts for ensuring dengue-free atmosphere in the field offices.
According to an official circular issued here to save the offices against dengue, the field tier has been asked to remain active and vigilant against this menace so that the people could remain safe from this deadly viral attack. He said that no stagnant water should remain in the office premises and general condition of cleanliness should be ensured. He further directed to involve the farmer organisations in this crusade and advised that members of the FOs should be sensitised about dengue disease during their training workshops so that the people living in the remote hinterlands could also be aware about it. He hoped that farmer organisations would play their active role in curtailing the hazards of dengue virus.
