Election Commission ready to hold fair, free polls: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner Former Justice Fakhruddin G Ibrahim said commission is ready to hold fair and free elections. He was talking to media after visiting provincial office of the commission here on Friday. He, however, said political parties are not serious in voters' list; any political party has not shown its interest in voters' list and did not apply for it.
He asked the political parties and all section of the society to get register all the citizens who attained age of 18 years and above. He said in forthcoming elections candidates would not be allowed to erect hoarding during their election campaign. He also expressed his concerned over issue the dual national and termed it a serious matter. He said commission will discuss this issue in its meeting at Islamabad in next November. CEC also examined the voters' list and others necessary record of the provincial commission and expressed his satisfaction over the work done.
