Pesco detection teams arrest 100 alleged power thieves

Detection & Recovery Teams of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has successfully achieving their targets against power theft in the province. During the campaign, Detection and Recovery Teams in Bannu Circle under the supervision of Superintending Engineer (SE), Ihsanullah Marwat nabbed about 100 persons alleged electricity pilferage and lodged FIRs against them in concerned police stations.
The recovery teams also recovered thousands of rupees from power defaulters. The Pesco detection and recovery teams under the supervision of SDO Pesco Bannu Urban Abdur Rouf Khan raided in Kabari Ghali and nabbed two persons on the spot for electricity pilferage. The FIRs have been lodged against them and send to prison by City police. Similarly Pesco surveillance team headed by SDO Pesco Ghori Wala Ayaz Burki raided in Rehmatabad area and caught 6 persons red handed for power pilferage.
FIRs have been lodged against them in the concerned police station. Meanwhile, SE Pesco, Ihsanullah Marwat has vowed that drive against illegal use of electricity and recovery of arrears from defaulters will continue. He warned that in case of finding any Pesco involved in co-operation with power stealers will be dealt iron hand and disciplinary action would be taken against him. He further said that Pesco employees should guide the customers and must help them to resolve their electricity problems.
