Haleem Adil Shaikh regularly visits the rain-affected areas and himself is monitoring the relief activities.
He said that currently they don't have any dispute with Russia on any issue so they would be able to get diplomatic support from it. He lauded Russian support on the issue of drone attacks in Pakistan. He said that the country was facing a lot of internal and external pressures so it was the need of the hour to get diplomatic support from friendly countries. He praised the recent visit of the Russian foreign minister saying it would be beneficial for Pakistan, which could get support in various sectors and trade would be enhanced as well. "Both countries would help each other to cope with terrorism, the political environment in Afghanistan and other central Asian countries would also be able to have better relations with Pakistan and Russia" Haleem Adil said.
Mr Shaikh said that our Army Chief Pervez Ishfaq Kiyani had visited Russia, which has the latest technology and it would help Pakistan particularly in defence matters. He said that European countries are negatively focusing on Central Asia and their main target is Pakistan. Our friendly countries could help us face all kind of challenges, Halem Adil hoped.
