Civil Wireless Network System has been made functional at a cost of Rs 7 million in PDMA building to cope with any disaster and to provide immediate relief to the affectees in the province. Provincial Disaster Management Authority Director General Mujhaid Sherdil said on Sunday that this wireless system has been directly linked to seven districts.
The DG said that initially Civil Wireless Network System was linked to seven districts including Multan, Muzaffargarh, DG Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Mianwali and Sialkot. He said that this system will be supervised by DCO and District Response Force at district level. He said that soon the scope of this system will be expanded to other districts. Positive results will be achieved through this system in future, he added.
