Traffic police to observe 'hospitality week' from today

The hospitality week (hafta-e-khush ikhlaki) of City Traffic Police will start from Monday (today) under which the road users particularly the motorists will be educated about the traffic rules. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah told the motorists will be presented flowers and gifts at important intersections of the city during the hospitality week (hafta-e-khush ikhlaki).
He urged the citizens not to violate the law and cooperate with the CTP on roads. He said that CTP under its efforts for the smooth flow of traffic on city roads is making continuous efforts and special campaigns are launched in this regard. CTP take action in accordance with the law against the drivers found violating the rules.
The drives are launched aimed at ensuring safe driving on the city roads and to make the journey more safe and secure, he added.
He directed the traffic wardens to guide the motorists that traffic rules must be observed on roads as these are for the safety of the drivers and other road users as well. He said the citizens should be guided that the use of mobile phone while driving is dangerous which must be avoided. Education Wing of Traffic Police is making efforts to spread awareness so that the road journey could be made safe and sound, he added.
He directed the traffic wardens to work with dedication and commitment and ensure the traffic flow so that traffic mess particularly on congested roads could be averted and relief could be provided to the citizens.
