10 Oct, 2012

Sindh Bachayo (save) Committee (SBC) along with political and religious parties to hold a rally today (Wednesday) and stage a sit-in protest outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC) against Sindh Peoples Local Government (SPLG) Bill 2012", said Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah.
This he said during a press conference held at Hyder Manzil (his party SUP's central office) here on Tuesday. Representatives of political parties and workers were present on the occasion. Jalal Mehmood Shah, Convenor SBC claimed that a record number of people from all over the province would participate in the rally. He said that not only member parties of SBC but thousands of workers of political and religious parties would participate in rally. To a question, he said that many of member parties were of the view that SBC should hold this rally in front of Sindh Assembly, Governor House or Chief Minister House. He said, "We observed that these institutions became rubber stamps due to anti-Sindh policies of PPP so we have decided to hold protest in front of KPC".
He warned that government should not create any hindrances in the way of peaceful rally. Jalal Shah said that government is pushing Sindh towards a civil war. He said that SPLG bill was an attempt to divide the province. We will not allow anyone to implement this system in Sindh. We will resist it, he warned. He further said that the SBC will continue the series of protest against the black ordinance until the government withdraws it. "After this rally, protests and sit-ins to be staged in different cities on each Sunday", SBC convenor said.
